Delivery & Collection

How orders are confirmed, prepared, collected in Pretoria or delivered elsewhere in South Africa.

Last updated: 29 July 2026

1. How your order is confirmed

The website creates an order request and sends it to Dr Seloka Books through WhatsApp. Your order is accepted only after we have confirmed product availability, the final price, any courier charge, the delivery or collection method and payment instructions in writing.

2. Pretoria practice collection

Collection may be arranged from 401A Medforum Hospital, Pretoria. Please wait for a written “ready for collection” message before travelling to the practice.

  • Collection is by prior arrangement during the time window confirmed on WhatsApp.
  • Please provide the customer name or order reference when collecting.
  • Products will not be reserved indefinitely without payment unless agreed in writing.

3. Courier delivery across South Africa

Courier delivery is available to valid South African delivery addresses. The courier charge depends on the destination, parcel size and service selected, and will be confirmed before the order is accepted.

  • Please provide a complete street address, postal code, recipient name and reachable mobile number.
  • Some couriers cannot deliver to post-office boxes or certain remote locations. We will contact you if an alternative is required.
  • You are responsible for checking that the delivery information supplied is accurate before dispatch.

4. Preparation and estimated delivery times

We aim to prepare in-stock orders within 2–4 business days after cleared payment. Courier transit times vary by destination and are estimates rather than guarantees. Weekends, public holidays, supplier delays, severe weather and peak trading periods may extend delivery times.

Important: We will provide the best available estimate before dispatch and share tracking details when the selected courier service supports tracking.

5. Delayed, lost or damaged parcels

Please contact us if tracking has not moved for an unusual period or the parcel arrives damaged. Keep the outer packaging and take clear photographs of the parcel and product. Prompt notice—ideally within 48 hours—helps us investigate with the courier, but does not limit any rights you may have under South African consumer law.

6. Address changes and failed delivery

Request address changes before dispatch. Once a parcel has been handed to the courier, rerouting may not be possible and additional charges may apply. A second delivery or return-to-sender charge caused by an incorrect address, an unavailable recipient or repeated failed delivery may be charged where lawful and after discussion with you.

7. Delivery risk and consumer rights

Nothing in this policy removes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act or other applicable South African law.
